DAY 1
Arrival in Leh

On arrival at the Leh airport, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. Since Leh is situated at a high altitude, the first day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation. Avoid physical exertion as your body adjusts to the new environment.

In the evening, as the skies begin to darken, step outside to absorb the vast, panoramic night sky that Ladakh is known for.

DAY 2
Confluence of Indus and Zanskar | Shanti Stupa Sunset

After breakfast, begin your day with a drive to Sangam, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. From the highway, you’ll witness a dramatic collision of waters—two distinct colours and currents meeting with breathtaking force.

Upon return to Leh, take a leisurely walk through the historic Leh Bazaar, once known as Kharyog. This old market street, lined with traditional architecture, has long been a hub for traders journeying along the Silk Route.

As the day winds down, visit Shanti Stupa, perched high above the valley. This Buddhist monument offers panoramic views of the Leh Valley and is an ideal place to watch the sunset.

After returning to your hotel, enjoy dinner and then step outside once more for an evening under the stars.

DAY 3
Drive to Hanle via Chumathang

After a hearty breakfast, begin your journey to Hanle, one of the most remote and untouched villages in the Changthang region. Once a vital stop on the ancient Ladakh-Tibet trade route, Hanle is now renowned as India’s first dark sky reserve.

En route, make a stop at the natural hot springs of Chumathang, believed to possess healing properties.

Upon arriving in Hanle, check into your homestay and take the rest of the afternoon to relax. As night falls, step out to witness the enchanting dark sky that Hanle is famous for. With minimal light pollution and high elevation, the stars here seem close enough to touch.

DAY 4
Indian Astronomical Observatory | Hanle Monastery

Enjoy a slow morning and a traditional breakfast before heading out to visit the Indian Astronomical Observatory, one of the highest of its kind in the world.

Equipped with a 2-metre telescope, this world-renowned facility is used for optical and infrared astronomy and offers a rare insight into scientific exploration under the clearest skies.

Later, visit the 17th-century Hanle Monastery, an architectural marvel that beautifully blends Tibetan and Indian styles and is associated with the Drukpa lineage.

In the afternoon, stroll through the peaceful hamlet of Hanle, where the silence is only broken by the chirping of birds. The region is a haven for birdwatchers, especially during the migratory season. As darkness envelops the valley, you will once again find yourself under the pristine night sky.

DAY 5
Journey to Pangong Tso

Following breakfast, set out for the breathtaking Pangong Tso, one of Ladakh’s most iconic lakes. Known as the highest saltwater lake in the world, Pangong Tso stretches across the India-China border and dazzles with its shifting shades of blue and green.

Upon arrival at Pangong, take time to relax and settle into your lakeside accommodation.

Later in the evening, use telescopes for an unforgettable stargazing experience in one of the most serene corners of the region.

Dinner will be served at the resort.

DAY 6
Pangong to Nubra Valley via Shyok

Wake early to witness the first light of dawn as it breaks over Pangong Tso, a moment that captures the soul of Ladakh in a single breath.

After breakfast, begin the drive toward Nubra Valley, known as the Valley of Flowers. Your journey takes you along the scenic Shyok River, passing rocky gorges and distant snowy peaks.

Upon arrival, settle into your room and explore the property surrounded by awe-inspiring views of the valley.

As night falls, gaze skyward once more for a stargazing session within the peaceful surroundings of your resort. Dinner and overnight in Nubra.

DAY 7
Hunder Dunes | Diskit Monastery | Stargazing with BBQ at Sumur

Today’s explorations begin with a visit to the famous sand dunes of Hunder, where you’ll enjoy a gentle ride on a Bactrian camel, a relic from the ancient Silk Route trade.

Continue to Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest gompa in Nubra, with panoramic views over the valley.

In the afternoon, take a nature walk near the resort to learn about the local flora and fauna.

As the evening sets in, head to the Sumur Sand Dunes for a special dinner experience.

A traditional Ladakhi BBQ under the vast night sky, complete with telescopic stargazing, marks one of the highlights of your journey.

Return to your accommodation after dinner.

DAY 8
Return to Leh via Khardung La

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Leh via the legendary Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable mountain passes.

The drive offers stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas and the ever-changing terrain of Ladakh. Upon reaching Leh, check in and spend the afternoon at leisure.

In the evening, take a final stroll through the market and pick up some souvenirs to remember your time in this magical land.

DAY 9
Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onwards journey.

As you leave Ladakh, you’ll carry with you memories of pristine landscapes, the warmth of local hospitality, and the unparalleled wonder of the star-studded Himalayan night skies.
