Journey to Nubra Valley

DAY 4
Turtuk: A Glimpse into Baltic Culture

On this day, travel to Turtuk, one of the last villages on the Indo-Pak border, renowned for its distinct Baltic culture and stunning apricot orchards. Engage with the local community and savour an authentic lunch at a Balti farm, where the flavours of traditional cuisine tell a story of their own.

On the return journey, visit the Diskit Monastery, home to the towering Maitreya Buddha statue , which stands as a symbol of peace against the backdrop of the rugged Ladakhi landscape.

The evening is yours to relax at Lchang Nang, indulging in a delicious dinner under the stars.

DAY 5
Hot Springs, Hidden Lakes & Stargazing in Nubra

The next day begins with an excursion to Panamik, home to natural hot springs renowned for their therapeutic properties. Take a rejuvenating dip in the sulphur-rich waters before continuing to Lohan Tso, a hidden lake tucked away amidst the mountains.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind live dining experience set in a serene apricot orchard in full bloom. As you savor a thoughtfully curated meal, the air will be filled with the enchanting melodies of a local musician playing traditional instruments, evoking the rich cultural essence of a bygone era. DAY 6
Return to Leh:

Option 1:Nubra to Leh (3-4 Hours drive)
On this morning, enjoy breakfast by the Siachen River, where the crisp mountain air and flowing waters create a tranquil setting. Following this, begin your return journey to Leh, arriving in time for lunch at the hotel.

The evening is dedicated to exploring Leh’s vibrant markets, where you can shop for souvenirs, handicrafts, and locally made apricot products to take back home.

Option 2:Nubra to Pangong Tso via Shayok river (8–9 hours drive)

Wake up early to set your foot forward for the day’s adventure and the beauty of Pangong Lake. Grab the packed breakfast and enroute to the world’s highest saltwater lake via Shyok River.

Located at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) above sea level, you will see a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometres at its widest point and over 130 km long. It is bisected by the international border between India and China and was closed to the general public. Luckily, a few years ago, the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance.
