Job description
This is a full-time on-site Executive Chef role at Lchang Nang Retreat located in Nubra. The Executive Chef will oversee the culinary operations and manage a team of chefs. The Executive Chef will be responsible for creating and developing recipes, preparing menus, managing inventory, managing costs and ensuring that the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are met. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring their team members, and ensuring that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained.

  • The most important role will be to experiment with locally available produce and work on local cuisine. The Chef should be able to experiment and improvise with local cuisine and should be able to communicate the efforts to guests.
Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a team of chefs, and to train and mentor colleagues
  • Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management

  • Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests
  • Ensure that guests are seated and provided with menus promptly
  • Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is delivered to guests at all times
  • Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have
  • Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately
  • Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintained at all times
  • Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner
  • Ensure the restaurant areas are clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required

The Assistant Experience Manager will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure and for curating & selling Signature Experiences at the property. The Assistant Experience Manager will oversee all aspects of customer service and Signature experience, manage the Experiences on-site and take inventory, and communicate effectively with staff and guests.

Qualifications
  • Sales & Marketing: ability to sell and market the Signature Experiences to the potential guests.
  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyze customer data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Communication: ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff, including the ability to speak multiple languages
  • Customer Service: ability to deliver exceptional customer service & handle customer grievances.
  • Customer Experience: ability to design and deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout their stay
